What's new
You can now layer Risk & Compliance data directly onto Flows. This means you can filter any flow query by cargo risk tier, sanctions status, and the authority behind a sanction — without leaving the Flows interface.
The three new filters
Cargo Risk Split
Trades are split into three tiers: High, Medium, and Low.
High and Medium risk classifications are assigned based on Kpler's Risk and Compliance's methodology .
All remaining trades are classified as Low risk.
Use this split to identify specific risk tiers from your flow analysis.
Sanctions Filters
Three independent All/Yes/No toggles let you filter by whether a trade involves a sanctioned Vessel, Ownership, or Flag.
Each sanction is tied to a specific vessel and a specific time period. A trade is flagged Yes if its time window overlaps a matching vessel-linked sanction that can be of type vessel, ownership or flag. Selecting Yes returns only those sanctioned trades; selecting No excludes them.
Authority Filter
This filter lets you narrow by the body that issued the sanction — for example, OFAC, EU, or UN.
It works across all four risk/sanction dimensions (Cargo Risk, Vessel, Ownership, and Flag). A trade will appear in the results if at least one of those four areas is flagged under the selected authority.
Example: selecting OFAC will return any trade where OFAC has flagged the vessel, its ownership, its flag, or assigned it a risk classification — regardless of which dimension triggered it.
How to use it
Open Flows and apply your usual filters (product, origin, destination, date range).
Add the Risk filter panel if not already.
Select one or more of: Cargo Risk tier, Sanctions (Vessel / Ownership / Flag), or Authority.
Results update in real time.
Note: This feature is available only to clients with both Risk and Flows permissions.
