We’re excited to inform you that our Risk & Compliance service now includes spoofing events related to LNG vessels, along with high-risk port calls for vessels loading from the sanctioned Arctic LNG 2 terminal.
Context
Recently, the United States imposed sanctions on entities supporting Russia's Arctic LNG 2 project. Despite these sanctions, some LNG vessels have been engaging in spoofing activities to load Russian LNG from the sanctioned terminal.
Why is this important?
Tracking these spoofing attempts is critical as these vessels are under intense scrutiny due to the geopolitical situation and ongoing sanctions. Monitoring and capturing these events helps to better understand and respond to risky behaviors that could have serious legal and financial consequences.
