We have released several new updates to the European gas workspace, designed to further improve your visibility over European gas infrastructure.
1. New tabs for LNG points
Available via the Flows map, you can now access individual terminal-level information on available capacity, service tariffs, upcoming auctions, and terminal details, in one centralised place. Upon clicking your desired terminal, the right-side menu will contain these four new tabs, in addition to metrics on send-out, storage fill, usage rate, send-out capacity, and the TSO.
2. LNG terminal costs (formerly LNG costs calculator)
LNG terminal costs have officially been migrated from our legacy platform to the Kpler ecosystem. The simplifies the comparison of regasification service tariffs and grid entry costs across European LNG terminals, also including a bar chart breakdown of cost components for easier comparison. Configure LNG terminals, cargo details, and booking month for specific use cases, as well as toggle between EUR/USD and MWh/MMBtu to match different reporting needs.
3. Outages table
The Outages tab now includes a table view, making it easier to browse and sort planned outages across European gas infrastructure. You can filter by market area, asset type, asset name, and capacity type (Firm/Interruptible), with sortable columns for market area, start, and verified dates. This complements the map view for users who prefer a structured, list-based format for tracking outages, as well as the ability to download data.
4. 'Specific month' option in Route calculator
Available in both the web platform and API, there is now the option to select an individual month for your transport period when using the Route calculator. With this, you can now calculate routes for up to to 12 months ahead, giving you more flexibility in calculating for when you specifically plan to transport gas. Similarly, in the Route calculator API, you now have transport period options for M3-M13, in addition to M1 and M2.
5. Updates to tariffs for Slovakia
We have updated the tariffs for Slovakia following the recent changes in regulated tariffs, effective 1 May. Key changes include the harmonisation of tariffs across EU and non-EU points, average tariff increase of approximately 10%, and increase GFON variable fee component from CEGHIX + 0.25 EUR/MWh to CEGHIX + 1.00 EUR/MWh.
