We have released several new updates to the European gas workspace, designed to further improve your visibility over European gas infrastructure.
1. LNG costs now integrated into the Route calculator
Through this enhancement, you now have the option to start a route directly from an LNG terminal, accounting for LNG service costs (unloading, storage, and regasification), grid entry costs, and onward land transportation costs.
LNG terminals appear on the right-side map, highlighted in blue, for easy selection as the route starting point. You can configure your LNG cargo details together with the send-out duration or send-out rate to calculate the full transportation cost from vessel berthing through to the destination market. These additional parameters are displayed only when the route starts from an LNG terminal.
Note: if you do not require the added layer of LNG costs for your route, you can continue using the Route calculator as before by selecting a market directly or clicking on the desired destination on the map.
This enhancement is also joined by an extended transport period in the Route calculator. The transport period now has additional quarterly booking options, allowing route calculations up to six quarters ahead, where tariff data is available.
2. Gassco Production Outages
The Outages module now includes Gassco production fields and processing plants, providing a more complete view of potential interruptions to Norwegian gas production. This helps assess possible impacts on gas deliveries to key destination markets, including UK, DK, DE, NL, BE, and FR.
3. Portugal coverage (gas flows)
As another step toward complete EU-27 coverage, Portugal has been added to the European gas platform. The new coverage includes (nominations and physical flows):
VIP Ibérico interconnection point
Sines LNG terminal
Carriço underground storage
Consumption split into residential, industrial, and gas-to-power sectors
Additionally, Sines LNG now includes available slots, LNG service tariffs, and upcoming auctions.
4. NBP prices
NBP price data is now available in the Hub prices widget on the Dashboard. You can view Day-Ahead (DA) prices alongside the full long-term futures, sourced from ICE, providing up-to-date benchmark pricing for the UK gas market.
