We've introduced several new features across the web terminal and API v2 to give you better visibility into European Gas availabilities and inventories.

On the Web Terminal

1. Outages

  • Available via a dedicated tab covering past, current, and planned outages

  • Includes interconnection points and underground storage

  • Provides:

    • Capacity reduction (energy units and %)

    • Impact on booked vs. original capacity

    • Operator comments (where applicable)

  • Ongoing outages are also visible on the Flows map at higher zoom levels

2. Temperature Forecast (Dashboard tab)

  • 46-day ahead forecast across covered markets (EC_46 model)

  • Supports interpretation of consumption trends

3. Storage Level (Dashboard tab)

  • Total underground storage fill level per market

  • Multi-market selection

  • Benchmarking against 5-year average or selected year

In the API

  1. Outages endpoint - covers historical, ongoing, and planned outages with full metadata, as described above

  2. Inventories endpoints - the functionality is available through two endpoints:

    • natgas/inventories/storage for underground storages

    • natgas/inventories/lng for LNG tanks

The release of Inventories endpoints marks a key milestone, completing the migration of core API functionality from the legacy API to the Kpler API v2.
