We are excited to share a set of new additions and improvements to Kpler's power offering.
1. FCR & aFRR capacity forecasts
Having already made reserves & imbalance actuals available via API and the terminal, we are now adding reserves forecasts, using weather inputs from the EC_OP model. Coverage spans:
FCR: Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland
aFRR: Austria, Belgium, Czechia, France, Germany, Sweden (all bidding zones), Switzerland

Note: Forecasts reach roughly three days ahead and are updated four times a day, in line with EC_OP model runs. As we do not publish recomputed history, availability starts from when each forecast went into production: 2026-08-20 for aFRR and 2026-08-27 for FCR. If you would like a backtest, let us know.
2. ICE & NYMEX futures
We have added futures coverage from ICE and NYMEX:

3. JAO data additions
JAO publishes the flow-based market coupling data used to allocate day-ahead cross-border capacity across most of continental Europe. We continue to expand our coverage of this dataset, with four new endpoints and one addition to an existing endpoint:
PTDFs: the sensitivity factors describing how a change in a bidding zone's net position affects flows on each critical network element, at the core of the flow-based capacity calculation.
Net positions: the realized net export/import position of each bidding zone resulting from day-ahead market coupling
Max net positions: the minimum and maximum net position each bidding zone could reach given network constraints
Max exchanges: the maximum bilateral exchange achievable between two bidding zones, assuming all other zones' net positions are zero
JAO scheduled exchanges, now included in the existing commercial schedules endpoint
Note: We are progressively adding JAO datasets to our coverage, for both Core and Nordic regions, and will continue to do so - if there is a specific one you rely on, let us know.
4. Terminal performance improvements
We have reduced latency across the terminal, so browsing should feel noticeably faster overall. This is especially visible on the outage tab, where results now load almost instantly, making it much easier to browse outages across providers.
