📌 Summary

You can now search and analyze vessel traffic in the Strait of Hormuz using newly created port calls and the Via route filter. This powerful addition brings better visibility into one of the world’s most strategic maritime corridors — and it’s already available across multiple views, including Fleet Utilization (Freight).

🚀 Why We Built This

In response to recent geopolitical tensions between Iran and Israel, we fast-tracked this release to provide our users with critical coverage of a chokepoint that sees a significant share of global oil and LNG flows.

This update equips analysts, operators, and market observers with sharper tools to track shipping activity in real time — especially in periods of heightened uncertainty.

🔍 What You Can Now Do

✅ Access Strait of Hormuz Port Calls

You’ll now see Strait of Hormuz listed in the port call's views. These are dynamically generated based on vessel behaviour and enriched with zone data.

✅ Filter by Route (e.g. via Strait of Hormuz)

Use the route filter in the port call view to find vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, even if they didn’t stop nearby.

✅ Analyze in Fleet Utilization (Freight)

Thanks to this new port call, Strait of Hormuz is also available in Fleet Utilization metrics.
