We are pleased to release a new feature designed to enable quicker and easier access to Kpler's power forecasts.
Accessing the Forecast Explorer
You can access this new data by clicking on new Forecasts button in your Power workspace located at the top.
What Does the Forecast Explorer Offer?
This new feature allows you to explore and interact with our forecasts to inspect different weather models and time horizons from D-1 to D-14. It includes forecasts for:
Price
Temperature
Demand
Generation (both solar and wind)
The tool allows you to explore both of our Kpler short term models that rely on two external weather forecast providers:
ECMWF (a.k.a. EC) - European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts
GFS - Global Forecast System of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
In addition you can define the run time for your preferred model. Each weather provider generates four weather runs per day (00/06/12/18) for the two models.
